My Journey
The first picture above was taken in August 2020 when I felt terrible about myself and my body. My energy was low, my self-esteem shattered, and I had given up on making positive changes. See, for years, I carried the heavy burden of feeling like a failure, especially regarding my weight issues. It wasn't just the number on the scale that haunted me; it was the constant struggle with self-doubt, disappointment, and the feeling of being unable to take control of my health and well-being. As my weight issues overlapped with my family life, I couldn't escape its impact on my relationships and overall happiness.

Weight has been an ongoing battle since childhood, and food often became my source of comfort. I've tried various diets over the years, from extreme measures to healthier approaches, but I faced challenges in maintaining consistency. Falling off track would lead to unhealthy eating habits with little self-control.
​
Upon joining Bodi, I experienced a profound shift in my health and fitness perspective. I understood that this journey is not merely about reaching a destination; it's an ongoing process with ups and downs, not always following a straight line.
In 2016, I weighed around 155 pounds, but life's stresses, including helping my mom through a challenging period, and finding a new house, led me to neglect my health goals. My weight increased to 165 pounds, and I struggled to regain motivation.

In April 2017, my life significantly turned when I discovered I was pregnant. I battled extreme morning sickness and low energy throughout the pregnancy, leading to weight gain. By the end of my pregnancy, I weighed 220 pounds.
​
Even after my daughter was born, my intention to regain my fitness was hindered by the challenges of new motherhood. I lacked motivation, grappled with sleep deprivation, and struggled to find time for anything, let alone visiting a gym. Stress and exhaustion added to the obstacles, making it challenging to prioritize self-care and embark on a journey toward reclaiming my health and well-being.
A significant moment of realization washed over me during a family walk while taking our dog out. I struggled to keep up with the pace, feeling breathless and worn out. It struck me that I wanted to be a healthy and happy mom for my daughter, Emma, and myself. Despite the challenges of sleepless nights and a hectic schedule, I decided to take control of my health.

Determined, I devised a plan centered around nourishing my body with wholesome foods, staying hydrated by drinking more water, and incorporating physical activity. Even though getting to the gym seemed impractical, I refused to let that be an excuse. I realized I could still prioritize healthy eating and find ways to move my body even without access to the gym.

My journey began with simple walks, gradually building up my strength. Later, I discovered exercise programs on YouTube that provided additional workout options. However, the unexpected circumstances of the pandemic in 2020 introduced me to Beachbody on Demand, also known as Bodi. With gyms closed, my husband found Beachbody on Demand to continue his workouts, and I also decided to try it.

As I continue on this fulfilling path, I am filled with gratitude for the positive impact this platform has had on my life, and I eagerly anticipate further growth and transformation ahead.
